About
Built tolast.
Mighty Head is a Hong Kong consultancy that builds the things it recommends. A decade of work, clients across APAC, EMEA and North America, and a standard we don’t move: what we leave behind should still be running long after we’ve gone.
Where the namecomes from.
The Moai are the stone heads on Rapa Nui, carved to outlast the people who made them. That’s the bar we hold for the work. A system that needs us to keep running isn’t finished — it’s a dependency wearing a deliverable’s clothes.
The name has a second job. Every plan has might in it. It might work. It might scale. It might hold up when volume triples and two people leave. Our job is to take the might out and leave the mighty — to turn a plan that could work into a system that does.
Why we build instead of advise
Most consulting ends at the recommendation. Someone presents a deck, everyone agrees it’s right, and then it sits in a drawer because the team that has to implement it already has a full week.
We work the other way round. The strategy matters — you won’t get a system worth having without it — but the engagement isn’t finished until the thing is configured, integrated, automated, documented and running in your own tools, in your own name. Then we train your people and leave you the backlog of what to do next.
That’s the whole proposition: clarity about where you’re going, focus on what actually moves it, and a path you can walk without us.
How we work
Three things wedon't negotiate.
- 01
Clarity before cleverness.
The impressive solution to the wrong problem is still the wrong solution. We spend the first phase making sure everyone agrees on what's actually broken and what success looks like in numbers. Most engagements change shape after the diagnostic, and that's the point of having one.
- 02
We build what we recommend.
If we propose it, we implement it. It keeps us honest — it's easy to recommend a twelve-tool architecture when someone else has to wire it together, and much harder when you're the one doing the wiring.
- 03
You own all of it.
Every account, every workspace, every automation and every document is in your name from the first day, not ours. The handover includes everything needed to run, change and extend the work without calling us. If you want us to stay, it should be because it's worth it.
Working together
What it's liketo hire us.
Shape
Projects or retainers, depending on what the work needs. A project has a defined scope and an end date. A retainer makes sense when you want the experiments to keep running and the systems to keep improving. We'll recommend one after the diagnostic, not before — recommending a retainer to someone who needs an eight-week build is how consultancies lose people's trust.
Start
Almost everything begins with a diagnostic: two to three weeks of mapping what exists, interviewing the people doing the work, and agreeing on the constraint. It's scoped and priced on its own, and you can stop there with a plan you own.
Distance
Engagements run remotely, with a working-hours overlap agreed at the start. Clients are spread across APAC, EMEA and North America, and the operating cadence is built around that rather than apologizing for it.
Money
Scope and price get agreed after the diagnostic, when both of us actually know what the work is. Terms are flexible from there — staged by milestone, monthly, or spread across a longer program. We'd rather structure payment around your cash flow than lose good work to a bad month.
Fit
We'll tell you quickly if we're not the right people for it. That happens a few times a year and it has never once been the wrong call.
